....Playing Atari's Star Wars (sitdown)
in the arcade
Before Star Wars in the arcades, there was
StarFire but we had to wait a few years for the proper film conversion.
Star Wars was just programmed just right, had some amazing designed levels
but it was the sitdown version with the sound behind you that made that
game all the better. It was just worth that extra 10p (until then arcade
games were only 10p and Star Wars seemed to beef this up another 10p or
sometimes shock! horror! 20p). The game has stood the test of time well
and worth a go on MAME today.
